Dress Code

Bottoms

Allowed:

  • Bottoms must be worn at or above the waist, fully covering the student's undergarments.

Not Allowed

  • Bottoms that are not of an appropriate length and/or reveal a student's undergarments.
  • Sagging pants or shorts that cannot stay up without being held.
  • Sheer or revealing bottoms worn by themselves.
  • Bottoms with tears, rips, holes, or slits exposing the student's undergarments.

Tops

Allowed:

  • Tops must cover the entire chest, back, and stomach area, fully covering the student's undergarments.

Not Allowed

  • Tops that reveal the student's undergarments, including sheer tops

  • Tops that do not cover the entire chest, back, and stomach area.

Shoes

Allowed:

  • Appropriate shoes must be worn at all times.

Not Allowed

  • Steel-toed shoes.

  • Slippers or house shoes.

Miscellaneous

Allowed:

  • Student ID cards must be worn at all times on campus and bus.

Not Allowed

  • Clothing, accessories, or tattoos that identify with, advertise, or promote racist ideas, gang affiliations, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, drugs, weapons, vulgar language or images, violence, explicit content, or nudity.

  • Head coverings such as bandanas, hair nets, or non-religious headwear.

  • Hats, caps, hoods, or sunglasses worn inside the campus.

  • Dangling chains, belt ends, and/or bandanas.

  • Except for on announced spirit days, wearing pajamas on campus.

* Campus administration reserves the right to use their judgment for any questionable items.

Student IDs are required EVERY DAY! Safety First! IDs must be worn easily visible on the upper torso. Replacements will be associated with a fee.

Dress code checks will be done regularly by administration, staff, security, and teachers.

Consequences for violations of dress code policy:

  • If a student needs to change their shirt or pants, we can provide a clean change of clothing. We will keep his or her clothing until the end of the day.
  • If a student refuses to change clothes, the administration will take the appropriate disciplinary action, which will include a minimum of one day in ISS.
