Dress Code
Tops
- Low cut shirts/tops may not be worn.
- See-through and revealing shirts/tops may not be worn.
- Midriff shirts/Crop tops/ Bralettes may not be worn – all midsections must be covered.
- Halter/Strapless/Tank tops or dresses may not be worn.
- Off-the-shoulder blouses and dresses may not be worn.
- If you can see your midsections when you raise your arms it may not be worn.
Bottoms/Workout Clothes/Dresses
- Shorts, skirts and dresses must be measured to meet distance from 2 inches above the knee - if not, the clothing item is too short.
- Jeans or pants with tears, holes, or rips are allowed only with tights or covering underneath.
- All pants/jeans must be worn at the waist. Underwear or skin may not be showing.
- Dresses that are tight fitting and move up when you walk may not be worn.
- No Pajamas, no slippers or house-shoes.
- Leggings may not be worn as pants, and when worn must be covered by a dress, sweater, blouse, shorts or skirt that is mid-thigh or longer.
Head Coverings and Miscellaneous
- Head coverings, hoods, caps, bandanas and beanies of any kind may NOT be worn inside the building.
- Revealing or excessively tight-fitting garments are prohibited (including Spandex shorts).
- Sunglasses may not be worn inside the building.
- Any clothing or jewelry displaying words or pictures that are lewd, vulgar, obscene, profane or offensive and disrupt the educational process is not allowed.
- Any clothing or jewelry that advertises or promotes illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, violence, gang affiliation, or racist ideas or disrupt the educational process are not allowed.
Student IDs are required EVERYDAY! Safety First! IDs Must be worn on lanyard. Replacements will be associated with a fee.
THE CANUTILLO ADMINISTRATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROHIBIT OTHER ITEMS OR DRESS NOT SPECIFICALLY LISTED IN THE CODE IF THESE ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED INAPPROPRIATE OR DETRIMENTAL TO THE EDUCATION PROCESS.
