This is the image for the news article titled VEX World Robotics CompetitionAfter winning many local competitions with hard work and dedication, the Robotics team participated in the VEX Robotics World Competition, which took place in Louisville, Kentucky on April 25th through the 28th.

The team went up against 600 teams from various countries placing 86th and 87th, which is the furthest the robotics team has gone.

“I felt very confident in the competition because we had adequate equipment. The team put in time to build and program a competitive robot as well as long hours of practice and had a good strategy,” Robotics teacher Hector Acosta said.

Despite the team facing many problems on the day of the competition, including the overheating of the motors, and losing connection between the robot and the controller, the members continued to work diligently.

The team not only got world class competition experience, they also achieved a huge accomplishment. The team hopes to return next year, even more prepared and ready to win.
